After that a long series of replications based on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imedicalapps.com\/2016\/02\/heart-failure-remote-monitoring-beat-hf\/#\">non-proven benefits <\/a>or <a href=\"https:\/\/peerj.com\/articles\/1554\/\">equal\u00a0health costs<\/a>\u00a0or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJMoa1010029\">hospital re-admission<\/a>,\u00a0at least in heart-disease have been published.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobihealthnews.com\/content\/kvedar-weighs-last-months-telemonitoring-study-congestive-heart-failure-patients\">some others<\/a> including <a href=\"https:\/\/catai.net\/blog\/2016\/03\/who-social-determinants-in-health\/\">ourselves<\/a> have been pointed out that to carry out TM trials and published and evaluate results one have to be trained in the <a href=\"https:\/\/catai.net\/blog\/2014\/01\/hazards-due-to-insuficient-training\/\">BoK<\/a> (Body of knowledge) of telemedicine to understand all the implications and how to compare data (similar no-adhesion or drop up).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10696\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10696\" style=\"width: 353px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/catai.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Headline.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10696 \" src=\"https:\/\/catai.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Headline-300x251.png\" alt=\"Headline\" width=\"353\" height=\"295\" srcset=\"https:\/\/catai.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Headline-300x251.png 300w, https:\/\/catai.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Headline.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 353px) 100vw, 353px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10696\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Taken from &#8220;The cHealth Blog&#8221; Joseph Kvedar, MD<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Applying the same heuristics to TM trials than those for pharmacology benefit of substances is an error. There are many other benefits that have never\u00a0been considered in pharma-trials. Let me list some of them in here:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Patient\u00b4s opinions: expenses, confort, lack of stress, support availability, smooth care, individual respect&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Familiar or care opinions: expenses, confort, lack of stress, support availability, quick response&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Patient benefits: Integrated care, control of Health-social determinants, Psycho-social factors, QUALY (years of quality of life), RLE (real life evidence), prevent worse-health consequences.<\/li>\n<li>Healthcare system: W2P (willigness to pay), decrease workload, efficiency, changes on the channel of care, digital supervision, ML (machine learning), Digital supervised medicine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For that reason we designed a <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/20302385\">Specific TM questionaire for QUAL, 2007, Ferrer-Roca O<\/a>. <\/strong>allowing to evaluate results from the point of view of the patients: \u00a0 <em>&#8220;Telemedicine care by a hospital specialist through videoconferencing was comparable to hospital referral for face-to-face medicine. Teleconsultations managed by nurses had a positive impact on the QoL of rural patients.
