The fee ranges from<br \/>\n$2K to $8K per EPL depending on the\u00a0status of the Lister with the \u00a0Bluetooth\u00ae\u00a0SIG, Associate Member or Adopter, size\u00a0and revenue of the Lister. \u00a0This charge is directly\u00a0implemented by the Bluetooth\u00ae SIG\u00a0and is separate from the certification\u00a0and testing costs.<\/p>\n<p>The latest product is the fully-certified <strong>Bluetooth version 4.1 is the RN4020<\/strong> \u00a0for designers who want to easily add low-power regulatory approved wireless capability to their products. \u00a0The RN4020 includes an onboard antenna and is interfaced and configured via a simple ASCII command interface over UART and it is available on the market for US$49.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/catai.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Bluetooth4.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10079 aligncenter\" title=\"Bluetooth4\" src=\"https:\/\/catai.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Bluetooth4.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"766\" height=\"306\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The module supports all <strong>standard<\/strong>\u00a0Bluetooth SIG profiles, and Microchip\u2019s<br \/>\nLow-Energy Data Profile (MLDP) for custom\u00a0serial data transfer. Developers can also\u00a0use scripting to set the RN4020 up for\u00a0standalone operation where any one of the\u00a0analog or digital I\/Os can be monitored \u00a0and the <em>values can be transmitted over wireless without the use of a host MCU or processor<\/em>.
